The International Builders' Show (IBS) provides an unforgettable learning experience for over 1,000 students and faculty. For three days between sixty and seventy teams participate in the NAHB Student Chapters Residential Construction Management Competition (RCMC.) HBI and NAHB also host a luncheon and several meetings for students and faculty. The week culminates at the Awards Ceremony on Friday, January 14, where winners of the RCMC are announced.

About HBI and NAHB Student Chapters

Home Builders Institute, the workforce development arm of the National Association of Home Builders, is dedicated to the advancement and enrichment of education and training programs serving the needs of the building industry. For more than 30 years, HBI has trained skilled workers in residential construction, promoted the industry as a career and helped the NAHB membership address its need for qualified employees.

Administered by HBI and funded by NAHB, corporate partners, and student member dues, the NAHB Student Chapters program helps to enrich the educational experience of students enrolled in construction-related fields such as construction management, engineering, architecture, real estate, and the trades. Chapters are located at high schools, career technical schools, community colleges (2-year programs), and universities (4-year programs) across the country.
